Carrickmacross Credit Union Bursaries 2018

Carrickmacross Credit Union is pleased to announce 4 x €1000 per annum scholarship for up to 3 years.

This is an OPEN DRAW, with all Leaving Certificate Students in the 3 Secondary Schools in Carrickmacross and another to a member of Carrickmacross Credit Union attending any other secondary school and undertaking 3rd Level Education being eligible.

Payment of the scholarship will be made in 2 instalments.  Applicants must intend doing a PLC, Certificate, Diploma or Degree Course in any APPROVED 3RD LEVEL INSTITUTION.

Community Fund Initiative

The basis of operation of the fund is that it is used to support worthy local projects for social, cultural, sporting or educational purposes.

Funding applications between from €500 to €10,000 only will be considered. Funding is available for new and proposed projects but specifically excludes funding for any of the annual running costs of an organization or any project already completed.

Death Benefit Insurance

Please note to qualify for the Death Benefit Insurance of €1300.00, each member must join Carrickmacross Credit Union before the age of 70 years of age.
From 01/01/2018 the minimum share balance that must be in your account at date of death is €100.00 to qualify for the Death Benefit Insurance. This criteria applies to Carrickmacross Credit Union

PHISHING EMAIL ALERT

It has come to our attention that members in other Credit Unions have been targeted by phishing emails. Members who have been targeted will receive an email from the email address creditunion@online.ie or one similar to this. The email will inform the member of a file named “Payment Confirmation” that’s been transferred to them through a site called WeTransfer, by what appears to be your Credit Union, and will be encouraged to click to download the files.

The Central Credit Register- (2)If you have a loan or intend to apply for a loan in excess of €500.00 after 30th June 2017, the Credit Reporting Act 2013 requires us to process your personal and credit information to the Central Credit Register. This information includes:

  • Your Name
  • Address
  • Date of Birth; and
  • Personal Public Service Number (PPSN)
